I love that camera so much! I was going to get one for a long time but it was out of stock so I got a d7000 instead and I love it too though I still like the inbetween size of the 5000 and sometimes I miss the flip lcd.

I didn't even know it was possible to mount a battery station to it.

thanks thanks :) yeah me too you also got a better camera than I'am and maybe when I grew tired of my D5000 gonna go upgrade to D7000 :) I hope by that time its not expensive anymore LOL

hmm better.. I guess technically maybe a little but really for photos the 5000 scores really really well, especially in color and besides it is at the point where preference and use play a bigger role than numbers.

Pixelcount is beyond what anyone needs long time burried, ISO range is strong enough for just about everyone far back as the d90.

I got the 7000 over the 3100 mostly becaus the other felt too small and caus i liked the durable enclosing of it.

I just noticed they released a real upgrade to your camera btw. D5100. Still has the lcd thing and probably improved the movie recording. Go check it out: [link]

Either way when you already have a very nice camera house, and you do, I would use my money on different lenses and accessories instead. And you have a couple of other nice cameras as well. I only have one.
If I ever get another camera house it will probably be becaus it breaks or I can afford to get an FX format one :)

Jeez this turned out to be a long post lol

thanks :) yeah I've heard of the neat upgrade for the D5000 :) I like what they did on the swivel to the side LCD instead of the downward swivel which feels really awkward if you add a battery grip into it. Another plus side is the Full HD video on it. I feel like my D5000 is really obsolete LOL but I think for most of us that camera isn't really that matters but for the one that who are using the camera no matter what kind of model it was. Or should we say that its not the bow and arrows its Indians that counts.

indeed!

But anyway if it bothers you that if feels obsolete then by all means get a new one :)

Hmm I wonder if your batterypack would mount on a 5100. That could cut costs for you.
